(Oh my goodness, how #girlmom is this post..!?!)
So here’s the story. Years on years ago our mom bought pink trees for our rooms — one for me and one for Hope. Every year we would bust them out and decorate them with purse and shoe ornaments (true story) and anything else pink. Plus mine had a Starbucks ornament (of course). My pink tree even came with me to college over the Christmas season! All that to say — all these years later it is so neat to say that my pink tree now belongs to Nancy? I love it.
Last year I decorated and set this tree up in the playroom, but being inspired by the goodness of having a lit tree in a precious little girl room (I’m looking at you, Mallory!), I couldn’t help but put this tree in Nancy’s nursery instead this year. It makes more sense that way anyhow considering all of those years the tree was in my bedroom growing up.
So last night I went into Nancy’s room to sleep stalk (it’s a nightly occurrence in our house–by both Mark and me!) and found myself staring at her lit up tree as well. And then my eyes wandered to the drawer of bows under it. There at 11pm, I had the random and oh-so-girly-and-girl-mom idea to take out every single bow from her drawer and clip each one onto the tree. I was giddy doing it, I have to admit. Pie loves her bows so much (really), and I smiled as I decorated thinking about her waking up in the morning to a bow tree!
P.S. At 7:34 am this morning, I woke up to the sound of Pie’s precious voice gasping, “Oh wow. Oh woooow! Bow!!!! BOW!” Plus some giggles. It was a priceless, precious little memory I never want to forget.

Note — ALL of our bows are from here! The only bow not pictured is this Christmas one–Pie’s current favorite/repeat offender–that she was wearing at school when I photographed her room. When she doesn’t have it on, it serves as the “tree topper” of the bow tree! 😉
