Last year on Mother’s Day, I was 4 weeks postpartum and in a completely euphoric state of newness to motherhood. The newborn snuggles, sleepless nights, tiny baby grunts, and that sweet newborn smell were heavenly. I can’t believe this year, she is 13 months old and as cute as ever. Being a mommy is the most fulfilling role in my life. I love being a mommy and I can’t believe it is my second Mother’s Day this Sunday! To have some fun…let’s look back at last year!
We spent the weekend at the Wells Fargo Championship at our grandparent’s home just off of the golf course. I was round-faced, tired-eyed, and blissfully happy!
I love this sweet picture. Only one person is missing, my sweet mother-in-law! It was so special to celebrate Mother’s Day with our Mimi, Mommy, and Elise’s Mother-in-law who was in town from across the pond! She gets here SO SOON and I can’t wait to see her, too. We are so thankful for our big, happy family! Also, can we talk about how much Evie and Nancy have changed?!? Time is a funny thing when you’re a Mama.
We have a fun weekend planned ahead: dinner with some dear friends who recently got engaged tonight, a playgroup family cookout on Saturday, and an easy-breezy Sunday! I can’t wait to just soak up this weekend with my lil fambam. And Spyros, if you’re reading this, I would reallllyyy love a spa day or any of these sweet little gifts, like my favorite perfume that’s running low ;)!!!
Mother’s Day Gifts:
