One Room Challenge week FIVE (week one post here | week two post here | week three post | week four post). This week was truthfully very short and sweet. We focused mainly on our “TV Wall” and it looks 100000x better thanks to our decision to invest in mounting the TV. We legit have said, “awww look at our grown up room!” because it finally looks like a room “real” grown ups live in :).
We had electricians and AV guys in our house for several hours last week crawling in the crawlspace and sending wires up into our bedroom. Big thank you to all those men who 110% do not read this blog nor realized their efforts would be publicly appreciated :). It really looks so much better to have the TV mounted and we have been loving watching Bravo in bed.
Another fun little addition to our wall are the custom silhouettes of our two baby girls: Evie and Doxie. I just had a vision of wanting silhouettes of the pup in our bedroom and then realized I should probably get one of our daughter too (true story) and when I found RoyalPaperie all of my visions came to life. It was the easiest process – I just sent over pics of E + Dox and got to approve of the final images. Yes, the lovely shop owner sent me options to choose from and when I was a super picky customer over Doxie’s ears (#owningit) she didn’t stop editing until it was just right. I adore these silhouettes and will be going back to RoyalPaperie in the future. Check out our 2017 Holiday Gift Guide (under “for the grandparents” and “for the mother in law”) for a 15% off promo code to this awesome shop :)!
I used Framebridge to have the silhouettes framed. Royal Paperie sends them to you as a file and so it made for extra easy uploading onto Framebridge’s website. I found the frames I wanted, uploaded the silhouettes, and Framebridge printed, matted, framed, and sent them (with nails included) straight to my doorstep. I mean….whaaaaat?! I might actually feel brave enough to tackle the gallery wall I’ve been wanting to start with the help of Framebridge (find a 15% off promo code on our gift guide too – under for the MIL)!
So, while this week was somewhat menial, it was definitely necessary in getting this room to cohesively come together! I can’t wait for the reveal in two weeks!! We have some curtain hanging and curtain rod adjusting to get to this weekend…can’t wait.
A big thank you to Bellacor, Pine Cone Hill an Annie Selke Company, Wallpops , Framebridge, and RoyalPaperie for believing in my vision and supporting our blog and the One Room Challenge! Don’t forget to check out the other hundreds of ORCs that are happening all over the US!
