Well. Week two of the One Room Challenge is among us! Last week you saw our master bedroom in all of its real life glory (week one post here). Yikes. I know many of you messaged saying that the space was already so pretty and I so appreciate that…but…should I remind y’all of this:
Woof. It’s so bad. Speaking of this wall, my bff who is an interior designer and my mom (who is also an interior designer) have both suggested that I do the shiplap wallpaper on this empty wall. I plan to flank framed artwork on either side of the headboard to dress that area up and so they think that the wallpaper might add a bit of extra prettiness to this drab side of the room. I’m not sold on the idea yet – what do y’all think??
Here’s my thought process – are they right?! Because my headboard is such a statement piece, if I make that entire part of the room “the statement” will the rest of the room have a chance at looking as good?! OR is the wall with the TV going to look super weird like I didn’t finish wallpapering the rest of the room…insert emoji with his hand under his chin thinking. HELP!
While I don’t have much to show you this week I am happy to report I have checked a lot of things off of my list.
Here’s a little sneak peek into what I’ve picked out for our room! I cannot wait to start receiving these items and to get the ball rolling on revamping this space. A big thank you to Bellacor, Annie Selke, and Wallpops for believing in my vision and supporting our blog and the One Room Challenge!
I hope I have more fun stuff to show you all next week! Cheers to week two! Don’t forget to check out the other hundreds of ORCs that are happening all over the US!
