Ohhhh my goodness gracious y’all! It’s like Christmas morning in design blogland. So many treasures and inspirations to unwrap in the form of hundreds and hundreds of inspiring ORC blog posts! Did y’all catch the 20 featured designers’ reveals yesterday morning? I was practically squealing at my desktop. So much goodness!
If you’re popping in today — hi! — I am SO glad you’re here! This makeover was a classic case of “every room in the house gets priority over the master bedroom.” We shoved this little room to the side for months, and I am so happy to finally have a haven of our own to retreat to everyday and night! You can read back on the 6 week journey here:
So, before the good stuff (AKA 291501 pictures): what’s a good reveal without some before + afters?! I also appreciate how they give you a little bit of perspective of the space. Use the doors/windows to get your bearings, and you’ll quickly see that we flipped everything in the room in terms of furniture placement…

Eeeee! I haven’t been this excited about a blog post EVER! Are you ready for the full reveal!?! Without further ado…
(Pssst…if you’re curious about something, there is a full source list at the bottom of this post! xx)
I am so in love with this headboard. I’m pretty sure we’ll have it for-ev-er!
The beautiful peonies were straight out of my sissy‘s garden. That makes them even more special!
The tv is a bit of an eye sore in the design world, but you know what? I wanted this room to be real. And that includes the fact that my hubby and I like to snuggle up in bed every night and watch reruns of The Office.
Did you catch this dresser in the before picture? Same guy…fresh paint!
Y’all, I about died when I snagged this art from Home Goods. HOME GOODS! This canvas pair is a perfect distraction from the tv that draws the eye up to a happier, prettier looking place!
Anyone else an OCD bed maker? I cannot go a day without making the bed!
The chandelier ties the whole feel of the room together for me. I am a huge fan of almost any sputnik style chandelier. They’re so funky — I’m drawn to them.
That’s me being REALLY RIDICULOUSLY HAPPY that we pulled this off!!! I say we because it was a team effort across my family. Family sure is the best. I’ll have a few more posts in the coming weeks about bedding details, my custom vow art hack, and if there’s anything you want me to write about, please let me know!

If you’re new here, please say hi and let me know! I love connecting with my bloggy friends. I truly believe we are meant to be each others biggest supporters and cheerleaders. That’s what this is all about — sharing and encouraging creativity and purpose!
Pinnable image:Be sure to check Calling It Home to go goo-goo over the featured designer and guest participant reveals. You know what I’ll be doing all day…I’m like a kid in a candy store (but with a bottomless mug of coffee) with all of that eye candy!!!! There’s nothing more inspiring in interior design than being in the trenches with fellow creatives. I cannot wait to sip and stalk every chance I can get today and through the rest of the week. PUMPED. Linda, thank you for hosting such an incredible, challenging, and fun event!

A huge THANK YOU to these brands and shops who have graciously provided products in support of this One Room Challenge. (And thank YOU for supporting the brands who support HHH and keep this little space alive + well!)
